Bud Ogle Cabin Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The above image has four individual Masks applied.
Adobe has recently ramped up the capability of this already powerful editing tool by adding AI and machine learning to the Masking Tools and adding several new ways to apply a mask to an image. For many people these new tools will decrease the photographer’s reliance on Photoshop to apply masks and edit local areas of an image. In this class we’ll start with a review of, and changes made to, the long time masking tools such as the Linear Gradient mask, The Radial Gradient mask and the Adjustment Brush. We’ll then dive deeply into the new Masking tools, how to apply them and how to make adjustments with them. The image above has had four individual masks applied.
